Project to prevent and
fight against the use of drugs, alcohol and smoking, sexually transmitted diseases
and human trafficking
Aim:- to make students
aware of the long-term negative effects of the consumption of drugs, alcohol and
of smoking;
- to make them aware of the dangers young people are exposed to
as far as the sexually transmitted diseases and the human trafficking are concerned
;
- to develop positive attitudes towards life, towards the choice of a balanced,
healthy lifestyle, based on christian values, unanimously accepted in the Romanian
society;
Objectives:- to find out the students’
opinions on the use of drugs, alcohol and smoking and their level of knowledge
on the topics of sexually transmitted diseases and human trafficking;
- to
provide accurate information about the use of drugs, alcohol and smoking;

to show the negative consequences (physical and mental addiction, serious disorders
of the mental and behavioral activities, distortion of perception, etc.) of the
use of drugs, alcohol and smoking, the exposure to serious consequences on health
in the case of being infected with a sexually transmitted disease or of human trafficking;
- to show the behaviors which can be noticed in the case of the consumption
of drugs, alcohol and smoking; study-cases providing information about the danger
of sexually transmitted diseases and human trafficking;
- to show an alternative
to such problems;
- to pledge for abstinence in the students’ sexual
lives, according to christian values, the safest protection measure against sexually
transmitted diseases or unwanted pregnancy.
Resources:
- the use of video materials which have a significant impact on young people,
materials related to the prevention and the fight against of the previously mentioned
aspects;
- the editing and the use of flyers containing elementary information
about the negative effects of using drugs, alcohol and of smocking;
- a debate
climate in which these topics are discussed and possible questions are answered;
- individual counseling and assistance when needed;
- a website address
for further comments and discussions on these topics;
- extracurricular activities
(concerts, shows, etc.) and discussion groups ;
- camps and trips with a both
recreational and educational purpose;
- training meetings for teachers who
are encouraged to continue to discuss with their students measures to prevent and
to fight against the previously mentioned phenomena.
